Islamic wall art is an amalgam of art and faith. The intense, profound Arabic script, especially when it is rendered in calligraphy, inspires admiration; but its real essence lies in the text it portrays –verses or chapters from the Muslim holy book, the Quran, as well as narrations from the Hadith.

One can find Islamic wall art for sale on e-commerce platforms as well as in art galleries and brick-and-mortar gift stores, Arabic calligraphy is done in different styles, as well as in different materials and mediums such as wall stickers, wooden artifacts, canvases and digital prints.

The Quran is a Book of wisdom and depth, and in this write-up, we will focus on some of the ayats, or verses, which most people usually display in their homes.

Each of these verses or phrases is full of depth and meaning, and if said or felt with sincerity and strength of faith, they can inspire one to make positive changes in life.

1. ‘Alhamdulillah’

Arabic for ‘Praise is to Allah’, ‘Alhamdulillah’ is often written in calligraphy for Islamic wall art.

“And remember when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you in favor. But if you deny indeed, my punishment is severe.’ [Surah Ibrahim, Ayat 7, Quran]

‘Alhamdulillah’ implies gratitude to the Almighty for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. When one is stressed over issues of work or family or overtaken by one’s own pessimism, one should remind oneself of the blessings that Allah has showered on one – life, health, Imaan, safety, liberty and a lot more. Feeling aware of and grateful for these blessings helps us stay positive in life.

2. ‘Masha Allah’

This oft-said expression, uttered in particular when praising someone, means ‘By the Will of Allah’. It means a person’s successes like getting a good job or admission in a reputed college, or his/her good looks are a result of the ‘Will of Allah’. An infant is adorable because Allah has Willed him/her to be. Saying ‘Masha Allah's an acknowledgment of the Divine Will in all good, or even seemingly bad things, in life.Because what appears or feels bad may actually be a blessing in disguise, inspiring us to towards wisdom, strength and a compassionate attitude towards other human beings. The zikr is also uttered for protection against the evil eye.

3. ‘Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem’

The opening verse of the Holy Quran, as well as the first line of all chapters except one, ‘Bismillahi-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem’ translates into English as ‘In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful’. That the Word of Allah begins with this verse is proof enough of its significance. It’s best to say this verse before starting any task, big or small, ordinary or special, be it writing an exam, embarking on a journey or eating food.

Saying ‘Bismillah’ before beginning any work makes a person conscious of Allah and thus protects one from doing wrong. It also means that Allah would provide His Aid in the task the person is doing, and protect him or her from evil.

So, if you are searching for Islamic wall art for sale, the above information should be beneficial. Islamic wall art is, of course, a wide world and one can look up more.
