In this article I will show you how to install WordPress software in your system. To install WordPress software in your system follows the following steps.
Step 1: First of all download the latest version of WordPress software. You may download WordPress software from http://wordpress.org/ site.
Step 2: Extract the zip file.
Step 3: Open the extracted folder and find out the ‘wp-config-sample.php’ file and rename it with ‘wp-config.php’. We are doing this because WordPress provides ‘wp-config-sample.php’ file as sample of configuration file but actually it is not an original configuration file due to which we renamed it and make it original configuration file for WordPress.
After rename the file the following window will be visible.
Step 4: Open ‘wp-config.php’ file and enter the some basic information related to MySQL database such as database name, user name, password etc.
Let’s have snapshots on it.
Note: Which database name you choose here that should be available in your MySQL Database.
Now save the file.
Step 5: Now deploy the downloaded WordPress file into apache web server (you may use any other web server such as IIS) .If you are using apache web server manually then deploy your WordPress file into ‘htdocs’ folder and if you are using WAMP server for PHP development then you simply deploy your WordPress folder into www root directory folder.
Here I am using WAMP server which have already apache server.
Step 6: Now open the WordPress project by starting WAMP server localhost. When you click on localhost button on WAMP server then following window will be visible where you should be enter some basic information related to website and site administrator .
Now fill the entire text field with appropriate value.
Step7: Now click on the Install WordPress button.
After the successful installation the following window will be visible.
Now The WordPress Software has been installed successfully in your system. You may enjoy with it by login in WordPress.
