Improvements to Git Tooling in Visual Studio 2019 v16.11 Preview 2
Microsoft dispatched Visual Studio 2019 v16.11 Research 2, a nondescript statement most unusual for enhancements to Git tooling.
Preview 1 was dispatched the prior month while the Build developer meeting, proposing much-requested Hot Reload functionality, maintenance for .NET MAUI and different notable characteristics. 'In this announcement, we're delighted to advance possible the initial release of the brand-new Hot Reload user action when editing code files for purposes such as WPF, Windows Applications, ASP.NET Core, Console, etc.,' Microsoft stated. 'With Hot Reload you can now adjust your applications handle source code while the statement is operating with no need to suspend performance or practice a breakpoint. Rather, make a sustained advance and practice the modern 'apply code changes' option in the toolbar to implement them instantly.'
The Preview 2 release, however, essentially introduces developers to stay out Preview 1 for further characteristics, with the statement records registering the wholly unique objects of note as inscribing Git tooling:
- Allowance of extra moves from the overflow menu in the branch picker in the Git Changes window as well as the status bar.
- Float over a branch title to watch the last commit features in a tooltip.
- Admittance of various operations in the repository picker overflow list of the status bar.
- Hover over a repository title to watch the repository features such as local path & remote URL.
The bug-fixing crew was occupied, therefore, as 22 fixes were recorded.
Though, the Preview 2 release did guide several variants of Microsoft's flagship IDE, comprising VS 2019 v11, slated to be the ultimate in the 2019 series as the organization seems to the expected 64-bit VS 2022
