U.S. Bills Targeting Big Tech Companies Ready To Bridle Google, Facebook, And Others
The U.S. Bills will now have control in all big tech companies like alphabet’s Google, and Meta’s Facebook, passed in the senate.

China’s Tencent, the giant company which owns the messaging app WeChat would also be covered under the bills, a source revealed.
On Thursday, the Senate of the US decided in the voting in the Two Bills that will be aimed at reining in tech giants like Alphabet’s Google and Meta’s Facebook.
The Lawmakers are also expected to see the amended version of the bill which was introduced by Senators Amy Klobucher, a democrat, and Chuck Grassley, a republican. The bill will bar the big tech platforms like Amazon from giving preference to their businesses on their websites.
The amended form of the bill will have a vast expansion in the definition of Companies and will include companies like TikTok, the video maker platform, and similar to this. The information was revealed by a familiar source.

The sources revealed the internal information of the Senate as it was unclear that the Klobucher- Grassley measure had the votes needed to send the measure to the Senate floor for final passage. The sources were also asked to not speak about the matter in front of any reporters hence the information is not yet clear.
The second Bill is also on the top of the list in the scheduled subjects, the bill was led by US Senator Richard Blumenthal and Marsha Blackburn. The bill named the Open App Market Act would bar big app stores like Apple, from requiring app providers to use [their payment gateway and prohibit them from punishing apps that offer different prices through another app store or payment system.
The Bill is the first time is scheduled in Thursday, and it is expected that they will be put off at last week.
While, both the bills are ready to grab the neck of Big Tech companies that are going to be listed in the US Senate, the opposition has criticized the bill that was backed by Klobucher and Grassley. The Chief Policy Officer Neil Bradley of the US Chamber of Commerce said “The companies that are being targeted are the very ones that had the scale and innovation to help us through the pandemic, weather that was e5nabling to work remotely, (or getting) essentials delivered to our front door,” said by him.
The advocacy group consumer report showed the favor in the bills that have been presented by Klobucher and Grassley and said-
“Reset the power asymmetry between Big Tech, consumers and small businesses.”
Both the bills that have been represented in the Senate have a version introduced in the US House of Representatives.
