It can be used to specify the limit on the data type of table. Constraint in sql can be specified while creating or altering the table statement. Sample of constraint are.

  • NOT NULL.
  • CHECK.
  • DEFAULT.
  • UNIQUE.
  • PRIMARY KEY.
  • FOREIGN KEY.
