Niyati Thole329 04-Sep-2022

The elements of life are what you need to live a happy and healthy life. Your health is important to you, and the four components of mental health help. There are many ways in which the elements can improve mental health.

I am fascinated by the fact that the basic elements of life are always around us. They can help us heal. Even science has recognized that components of mental health can have a positive effect on us. Did you know that four factors underlie many traditional therapies used to treat mental illness? The surprising thing is that there are always these components around us and most of us do not know how useful these components are. Without further ado, let's get diving.

What are the four components of mental health?

Now the same is true when I talk about the mental health factor or the lifestyle factor. The elements of life are a component of mental health. These four factors are practically the most important for a healthy life. their:

  • earth
  •  water
  • air
  • fire

We cannot live without them. I don't always understand why we only talk about them in the context of physical health. Earth, water, air, and fire have the same effect on mental health. The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food the earth gives us and the warmth of the fire all help us fight mental disorders. If it doesn't cure it, it can at least help us all maintain good mental hygiene.

How can the elements of life improve our mental health and improve our well-being?

This does not mean that mental health factors need to completely replace current psychological and medical treatment practices to be changed. In recent years, there has been increasing interest in the beneficial aspects of lifestyle factors for mental health. Most researchers believe that the healing experience and healing process can be greatly enhanced by incorporating elements of life into current practices. Here's how the components of mental hygiene can help you heal:

1. Earth

Nutrient-rich foods are good for your mental health, as well as what the planet has to offer. But the land has other benefits, like nature. The more time you spend in nature, the better your health. In this way, the planet can increase our well-being.

  • Closer to green, helps reduce stress.
  • The earth gives us room to move, which is of course good for our overall mental and physical health. increases self-esteem
  • helps with depression
  • reduce negative thoughts

Yoga, gardening, forest bathing, gardening, nature exploration, animal therapy, and more. Outdoor activities such as we can use the Earth's help in the healing process.

2. Air

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of air? our breath? Breathing exercises are usually associated with problems related to anxiety, panic, and stress. Breathing has several benefits:

  • helps reduce stress
  • It helps reduce the intense symptoms of panic and anxiety disorders.
  • It helps to relax the body and mind
  • It helps with meditation and attention training
  • Breathing sends signals to your brain, and your brain determines your mood. Shallow breathing or agitated breathing is of no use. So, focus on good breathing exercises when you are anxious, stressed, or panicking.

3. The water

I am a water child. Water relieves stress. Of course, I'm not saying you should drink enough water, but we're talking about water treatment here. Water therapy is also used for newborn care. Other benefits of water:

  • helps to relax the body
  • decreases cortisol secretion
  • Good for insomnia
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • helps with depression

Do you know how water can help you? Water contains charged particles that help calm nerves. This calming signal is sent to the brain, which makes the brain feel safe, thereby turning off panic and flight modes.

4. Fire

Fire has emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual benefits. Our ancestors also praised the healing power of fire. We call it concentration meditation, Buddhist mindfulness practice, etc.

  • It reduces the risk of dementia
  • help manage pain
  • relaxes tense muscles
  • Increases serotonin (hormone of happiness).

Did you know that seeing a fire burning can help your body relax, according to research in Evolutionary Psychology? There are many indicators in the sauna, thermal therapy, or easy/solar treatment, which are observed by increasing the level of serotonin.

The sound of the Burning magazine is also satisfactory!
