  • The camera interface has been changed in WhatsApp beta version 2.22.21.8.
  • Android beta testers can presently access the feature.
  • Long-pressing will no longer be necessary in WhatsApp to record videos.

A revamped camera interface that would make it simple for users to record movies using an Android-specific button is reportedly being beta-tested by WhatsApp. The customers will find it easy to switch to video recording thanks to the recently added functionality. Currently, users of previous WhatsApp versions must continue to depress the shutter button.

Thanks to the redesigned camera interface in the most current beta version, users will also be able to switch between the front-facing and rear-facing cameras while recording a video. New icons and the option to switch between photo and video modes are features of the most current Android beta release.

The voice over IP and instant messaging service's video recording feature may have been annoying because it required users to hold down the shutter button in order to start and stop video recording. Thanks to the new camera interface, users will be able to switch between the front-facing and back-facing cameras while a video is being recorded.

Call connections are one of the new features that WhatsApp just added to the application. The messaging app previously stated that all countries, including India, would have access to its Communities feature.

Additionally, it was announced that one-tap video calling for up to 32 people and groups and group polls would be available. As part of the Google Play Beta Program, WhatsApp is beta testing the upgraded built-in camera app. WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature tracker, first noticed the new dedicated video recording capability.

The business is currently testing employees' ability to express themselves. A change that will automatically mute groups with more than 256 people is being made to the instant messaging service's group chat feature.
