Working in the treatment industry is very important work no matter what your role is there. We are facing an epidemic of massive proportions this past decade and the call of more resources for addicts in need keeps growing higher. Thus there are more treatment centers popping up everywhere these days. If you are one of those in this industry how can you separate yourself from all the competition? When someone in your area is desperately looking for help either for themselves or someone else, how will they find your business? The answer to put it simply is, digital marketing. The marketing world is more about the internet and social media now than ever before. If you are lacking a presence on the internet with your company, you are doing yourself a major disservice. Let's look into what having a presence online could mean for your company,

Think about when you want to find more information about something and how you go about it. Nowadays, we are prone to go onto google on our phones to find the answer to anything we do not know about. When you do your search on google, how often do you go past the first page to find your result? Very rarely I'd imagine. Think about when somebody is desperately searching for help for someone, they get on google and they are going to look for the first viable looking website. There is not a ton of thought behind it, just the first results they see they go for. Wouldn't you like your company to be one of those first sites to pop up on a google search in your local area?

This can be done by building your Search Optimization Engine (SEO) rank. There are common keywords people will use when searching for help with drug addiction. The strategy is to figure out what keywords are used commonly and add those key phrases to the content on your webpage.

The best way to sneak in key phrases to build your SEO is to create blogs surrounded around the key phrase. Publishing weekly blogs are a great way to keep new content on your page and for people to find that blog to your website if they search for a topic you have done a blog on. Once they click on that blog, the best strategy is to include internal links to your main site and links to your treatment options. This is a very useful way to generate more admissions to your treatment center.

Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram may not be the best in generating admissions for you, but it can create a great reputation for your company. Social media allows a community to grow and have positive affirmations said about your facility. Having past patients join your facebook page and creating posts to have them interact with the company can really make a facility look good to the laymen. Think about it, in 2019 if a business does not have any presence on something like Facebook, it could make the business not appear as legitimate. Creating videos and inspirational posts on Instagram can do the job of planting a seed in someone's head and when they are in need of finding a treatment center, subconsciously your business will pop up in their head! 


It's very helpful to put yourself into the shoes of a possible patient and think about what you would do and look for if you were seeking help. You would want a place that shows up around the top of google searches. A place with an attractive and frequently updated website and a place that has a presence on social media with plenty of interaction occurring.  These simple foundations can help make a world of difference in the success and profitability in your respective treatment center.
