Why do blogs with images create a better impression?

There is nothing more explanatory than a well clicked picture. Even if do not have a lot of text with the picture, the audience would get an in-depth understanding of what you are trying to explain. This does not obviously mean that images should be selected randomly and used even when the need is not there. However, considering the advancements in technological areas, the use of images is obviously recommended. Secondly, it is a simple psychological fact that blogs with images get the attention of more readers.

Here are some core reasons to support this written statement:

Images make a blog look more creative

Why do blogs with images create a better impression?

Irrespective of how interesting a blog may look, people would only start reading it if they like the appearance. This is where; the usage of images makes serious difference. Consider that you have written a blog on a topic that most of your customers prefer and like to read about. For instance, the blog is written on “working process of a laptop” and you have written full page content on it. Most people who read your blog would actually not read each line with interest. This is because as there would be no images, he would obviously get bored and close the page. As a website owner, this is what you need to avoid. It is obvious that text descriptions have to be included in a blog but you need to include visual contents as well.

  • If you are writing a blog on “working process of a laptop” and your brand is related to laptops, including pictures is very important. How do people know the process for using a laptop until they do not see visual content? Most people do not put in a long time to read a blog post completely. They seek images and videos so that they can understand the points being explained in a clearer manner.
  • What kinds of images do you need to include? To start with, simply uploading random images to make your blog look more colourful and vibrant is not the key. You have to be realistic and only include related images in the blog. If your blog is related to working process of a laptop, do not upload images of laptops as everyone knows how one looks like. As the blog is related to the working process of a laptop, use info graphics which can be helpful for the users.

Image Quality is very important

Why do blogs with images create a better impression?

There is no point in including images that are blurred and do not meet quality requirements. Low quality images can prove to be a negative factor for website growth and progress. Hence, it is important that no low quality images are used. Here are some other points which should be focused on.

  • At times, when you view images on a website, you would see that they have been stretched. This actually makes visitors feel that the website has not been designed professionally. Instead of creating a positive impression on the visitors, this creates a negative one. As a website owner, you should make sure that image quality is up to the mark. Do not use stretched images. Along with that, the correct resolution should be used so that the image appears with 100% clarity.
  • Uploading original images is important particularly when it comes to product images. Various brands use edited images to impress the customers. Today, buyers have become very smart and they can determine whether original product images have been used or not. Uploading edited images would actually reduce the rate of conversion instead of increasing it. Edited images reduce the overall reputation of a website so they should be avoided.

Images should be creative

Why do blogs with images create a better impression?

Some websites do use images but the creativity factor is missing. They upload images that are already available on Google and other search engines. This simply means that the user does not attain any benefit for accessing the website. Do not use images for the sake of formality. Instead, images should enhance the overall value of the blog. They should be related to the text content written and make it more explanatory. In other words, if someone does not want to read through the whole text, he should be able to view the provided images and get a feel of the points explained in the written text.

  • Images used should be creative and not too flashy. Some websites have images surrounded by fluorescent borders. This does not create a good impression in front of potential buyers. Instead, it makes them feel that the website has not been designed in a professional manner and amateur technical resources have worked on it.

Giving due credits

While designing your websites, do not adopt any practice which is illegitimate. Let us go through an example. When you view images on Google, some of them would have copy rights. This means that they cannot be reused as proper permission has not been granted by image owners. If you have used images with a copyright, Google can apply related penalties on you. Hence, if you are using already published images, make sure that they do not have any copy right issues.

Summing it up

Whether you are working on the content of your website or adding a blog, not using images would make the content look bland. Thus, it is important to use related images. Using images makes it easy for users to interpret what you have written as most of them do not make the effort to read the whole post. By looking at images, they may be able to interpret the written points.

Image quality matters a lot so do not use low quality or blurred images as this would hamper the overall user experience. Creating the correct impression of the website is important and anything that can create a negative impact has to be avoided. The use of low standard images would obviously create a negative impact.

Images should be related to the products / services that you offer. Do not use randomly selected images that are not connected to the overall brand appeal.
