
One of Google’s Senior Engineer got Fired for Claiming that its AI Chatbot has Human-like Awareness
On Friday, Google has mentioned that it has dismissed one of its senior software engineers. The person had claimed that the company's artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot LaMDA was a self-aware person.

Google’s one of the software engineer William Blake Lemoine was fired last month. The company has mentioned how it has violated the policies of the companies and not only this it was found out that his claims on LaMDA was completely considered to be 'wholly unfounded.'
According to a Google’s spokesperson “It's completely regretful that without any lengthy engagement on this topic, Blake had still chose to be persistently violate the clear employment and data security policies which would include the need to safeguard product information.”
Last year, Google had mentioned that LaMDA, Language Model for Dialogue Applications was designed on the company's research showing Transformer-based language models which would be trained on dialogue that might learn to speak about primarily anything.
Google and many of its leading scientists were fast to dismiss Lemoine's views as misguided by mentioning that LaMDA would be simply a complex algorithm which was designed to get convincing human language.
Lemoine's dismissal was initially reported by Big Technology, a tech and society newsletter.
