18-Jan-2025Keyword frequency measures the number of times one particular keyword or phrase is used in a particular piece of content, be it a webpage, an article, or a blog. Website relevancy is a component of SEO since search engines use it to determine how closely your content is related to the visitor’s query. However, overusing the keywords in the content is not advised because the information should not be cramped and unnatural to the user.
Keyword repetition, or keyword stuffing, is also counterproductive because it negatively affects website rankings in Google. But concentrating on keyword density, which is the number of times the keyword appears in a document divided by the total number of words, keeps this from happening. For instance, you have 1000-word content where the keyword has been used 10 times, that can be considered as 1% keyword density.
To use the keyword frequently, it should be placed where it best fits the common areas: the title or title tag, heading tags, meta tags description, and the first one hundred words. Also, searching for similar words to the main keyword may help increase the page’s readability and its chances of ranking in the search engine result pages for the various terms. In the end, this comes down to using keywords in a manner that improves the site for the user as well as makes it more visible in searches.
