What are the Best Ways to Attempt JEE Mains Paper?

The anxiety of students when the exams are approaching is one among humans natural tendency. No matter how well they have prepared for the exam, they tend to get nervous. When it comes to competitive exams like JEE Mains which requires your determined preparation due to the fierce competition, you must keep your cool and should not be nervous in the exam hall. If you do so, your mind will not be productive, which affects your results. In this article, we are sharing the best ways of attempting JEE Main paper. When you are aware of it, you will be able to manage time and attempt all the questions.

JEE mains question paper is designed to test one’s logical and intellectual abilities. Regardless of the difficulty level of the question, you will be awarded equal marks for each question. Hence, you must be wise and know how to get the maximum number of questions answered in the limited time you have.

The first and foremost thing you need to do while attempting the paper is that you go through the entire paper quickly to have an idea on the level of difficulty of the paper. Choose to attempt the easy questions first. You can use mark and review option to mark the questions that you will attend first, that is the easiest ones which can be answered within a minute. Go for the easy ones first, then for the moderate level questions. You can go for the tough questions in the last phase. Make sure that you are not spending more than three minutes on any question in the moderate level question. If it is taking too much time, better to skip it and attempt at the last.

Another approach can be by choosing to attempt your favourite subject first. Most of the students choose Chemistry as it is considered to be the scoring subject. You can choose your favourite subject, be it Chemistry or Physics or Maths. But make sure you do not spend too much time on any question in any section. If it is taking you more than three minutes, as said in the earlier approach, it is better to skip and move on to the next subject. Keeping Maths at the last has its own advantage. However, make sure you manage the time accordingly. Be it Chemistry or Physics or Maths that you are attempting, at last, make sure that you finish the other two quickly, without compromising on the accuracy.

In both the approach, just in case if you run out of time, you will only be left with those questions that were difficult. The advantage of it is that you have attempted all the questions that you could have answered correctly, instead of wasting time on the difficult ones and leaving the easiest ones unanswered.

Furthermore, it is recommended that you make use of rough work and keep it clean. By doing this, you can quickly revise before you answer the questions so that you do not mark any wrong question. Your speed and accuracy both matters in this exam and hence make sure you do not compromise on both.
