If you are having difficulty even after being regular and attentive in class, then it is a high time for you to check your basics. As we all know, basics play an important role in every subject. But when it comes to maths, there is no way of escaping. In fact, in class 10 maths, it is the basics (studied in previous grades) along with the further applicational knowledge of the subject. 1. First and foremost, as mentioned earlier, get a good command on basics and be regular to the class. You do not want to miss a class and wonder what is happening when you attend the next class.

2. If or when get stuck in a doubt, clarify it then and there. When you don’t clarify your doubts, you will be carrying it forward through most of the problems which will be a stumbling stone in your understanding.

3. Do not skip any topic. Study the entire syllabus thoroughly. Most of the times, if you skip a topic, you will not be able to understand further chapters. So it is advisable you know the entire syllabus.

4. Make your own notes. Prepare a list of important formulae and concepts for a quick revision. You will understand the concepts better when you re-write it in your way. (Standard formats should always be followed.)

5. Make it a point to revise every formula at least twice a day. The more you see, recite or write, the more you tend to remember without any confusion.

6. Solve the previous years question paper. Look for patterns in the last 5-year question papers. And solve each question so that you have an idea of how much you know about that particular concept.

7. Practice, practice, practice! Identify the areas where it is difficult for you, unable to answer or answered incorrectly. Practice those problems until you don’t get it wrong. This will also help you in increasing your speed.

8. Do not take this as a burden. Have faith and trust yourself that you will do better. And we are sure that if you follow these tricks, your journey becomes easier.
