Finding out that there is a grey hair can be very traumatic. Especially if it happens much earlier than the time it supposed to happen. Sometimes, one may feel that grey hair can affect their life and bring down their confidence.
So, how to tackle them? One may think that one has to pay an exorbitant price to cover up their grey hair but that is not the case exactly. Curry Leaves and Coconut Oil
One needs 4 tablespoons of pure coconut oil and a handful of curry leaves for this. These things not only prevent greying of hair but also reduces hair damage and hair fall. One needs to heat the coconut oil and the curry leaves in a saucepan. Let the mixture boil for at least 5 minutes and once the heating is done, one needs to let it cool down. Then massage the oil on the scalp with the help of fingertips. Keep massaging for 15 minutes and apply the remaining oil in the length of the hair. Let it sit down on the hair and scalp for half an hour and one can also wrap the hair with a hot towel in this waiting period. Then one can wash it off with a chemical free shampoo. One can do this 2 to 3 times a week to get the best results. Curry leaves have B complex vitamins and iron, selenium and zinc which can restore the pigments in the hair follicles.
Indian Gooseberry or Amla
For this, one needs to take 6 pieces of dried amla and 4 table spoons of coconut oil. Firstly, one needs to place the dried amla in a saucepan and then add the coconut oil. Heat them both in low flame for about 15 minutes and once the heating is done, let it cool and massage the oil on the scalp with the help of fingertips. Leave this on the hair for 30 minutes more and then wash it away with a sulphate free herbal shampoo. Amla is full of Vitamin C and it can preserve the melanin in the hair follicle. It can also boost the hair growth.
Curry Leaves and Buttermilk
One can mix a handful of curry leaves to a cup of buttermilk and then massage it on the scalp well. Cover it with a shower cap and keep it for 30 minutes before washing it away with a mild shampoo. This also prevents the premature greying of hair. One can also use some Ayurvedic oil for premature greying but before using them one needs to take advice from the Ayurvedic experts so that they can get the best results.
