Causes of Dark Circles under The Eyes

What is the cause of bears?

There are several possible causes of the bear under your eyes. Some common causes are:

 Burnout

Excessive sleep, extreme tiredness, or just a few hours after normal bedtime can cause dark circles under your eyes. Insomnia can make your skin look dull and pale. You can see dark tissues and blood vessels under the skin.

Sleep deprivation can also cause water to pool under the eyes and make them look swollen. The bears you see may be shadows projected by the swelling of the eyelids.  Natural aging is another common cause of bears.

As you age, your skin becomes thinner. It can reduce fat and collagen, which maintains the elasticity of the skin. This makes dark blood vessels under the skin more visible and darkens the area under the eyes.

 Eye Strain

Looking at the screen of your TV or computer can damage your eyes. This strain can dilate the blood vessels around the eyes. As a result, the skin around the eyes may darken.

 Allergy

Allergic reactions and dry eyes can cause dark circles. When there is an allergic reaction, the body releases histamine to repel intruders. It causes a variety of symptoms, including itching, redness, and swelling of the eyes. Histamine also dilates blood vessels, making them more prominent under the skin.

Allergies can increase the urge to rub or scratch the itchy skin around the eyes. These measures can exacerbate symptoms and cause inflammation, swelling, and damage to blood vessels. This can cause dark shadows under your eyes.

 Dry

Dehydration is a common cause of dark circles under the eyes. With insufficient hydration, the skin under the eyes begins to dull and the eyes seem to sink. This is because the eyes are close to the underlying bones.

 Overexposure to the sun

When exposed to sunlight, melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color, can be overproduced. Too much sun, especially on your eyes, can darken the pigmentation of the surrounding skin.

 Genetic

Family history also influences bear development. It may be a genetic trait seen in a child. Over time, the ring under your eyes may become lighter or darker.

Susceptibility to other diseases – Other health problems, such as thyroid disease, can also cause dark circles under the eyes.

 Anemia

Anemia is when the red blood cell count is lower than normal. This can lead to the following feelings:

  •  dizziness
  •  weak
  •  Careless
  •  Out of breath
  •  tired
  •  If you have anemia, you may notice that the skin is thinner than normal and dark circles under the eyes. Talk to your doctor about getting a blood test to check your iron levels. Anemia treatments include:
  •  diet changes
  •  iron supplement
  •  Iron injection depending on your stats
