Home Remedies for Body Pain

Fatigue and physical aches might set in quickly after a major event, such as a family wedding, Holi celebrations, or a job presentation. Sleepless nights and pushing ourselves to do a little bit more each day may build up to a lot.

Starting a new fitness regimen or increasing the intensity of an existing one are two more causes of experiencing physical discomfort. Ironically, inactivity is a key source of physical discomfort, particularly back pain!

6 simple and efficient body pain home treatments

Muscles and bones become tight and stiff when they are forced to operate beyond their normal capability, resulting in physical discomfort.

Start with cold treatment.

When you apply ice to the injured body part, the nerve impulses in that location are slowed, which relieves pain. Even among arthritis patients, cold compression is useful in lowering inflammation and discomfort in the joints.

How to go about it:

  • Wrap 3 or 4 ice cubes in a tiny towel and apply to the sore spot - anywhere on your body.
  • Soothing gel packs can also be used to treat the afflicted region.
  • Non-medicated cooling sprays can aid in the reduction of edema and discomfort.

This medication can be used 2 to 3 times each day.

2. Soak in warm saltwater

At some time in our lives, we've all submerged our feet in warm salt water after a strenuous workout or a lengthy hike. It turns out that soaking your feet in saline water lowers edema through osmosis, while the warmth from the water loosens the knots in fatigued muscles and relieves muscular tightness.

How to go about it:

  • Fill a bathtub halfway with hot water and a cup of salt. For 20 minutes, soak the sore body region in the tub.
  • If you can't immerse the body area, soak a delicate cloth in the salty water instead. Apply the towel to the afflicted region after squeezing it. When the towel has cooled down, repeat the process.
  • This medication can be used once or twice a day.

3. Use mustard oil to massage.

Warm mustard oil massaged onto the body might help reduce discomfort. According to research, mustard oil includes an anti-inflammatory component called allyl isothiocyanate.

How to go about it:

  • Warm a glass of mustard oil in the microwave or on the stove. Do not allow the oil to become too hot.
  • Before having a warm shower, massage the entire body with the heated oil and keep it on for at least 10 minutes.
  • This cure can be used once or thrice a week.

4. Take ginger tea.

Ginger's effect has been compared to that of ibuprofen by scientists (a potent painkiller). Ginger can aid with pain and inflammation in the body.

What to do with it:

  • In a saucepan, bring four glasses of water to a boil, then add two teaspoons of grated ginger. Remove the ginger pieces from the water and consume the water gently over the day.
  • A teaspoon of grated ginger in your normal tea is another method to consume ginger.
  • This medication can be used once a day.

5. Milk with turmeric and honey

Turmeric contains curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory, analgesic (painkilling), and healing qualities that aid in pain relief.

What to do with it:

  • In a glass of warm milk, combine one tablespoon of turmeric and one teaspoon of honey.
  • Half a teaspoon of turmeric can also be added to your usual tea.
  • This medication can be used once a day.

6. Consume cherry juice

Peripheral neuropathy (neurological injury to the peripheral nerves) causes discomfort in the hands and feet. Cherry juice contains anthocyanin pigments, which have been found in studies to aid in the management of pain in the hands and feet.

What to do with it:

Once a day, drink a glass of unsweetened cherry juice.
