No matter what the employee’s gender, race, or condition is, they need to be treated fairly, just like any other person within your company. The Equal Pay act says that both women and men who do the same job have to be paid equally for it. 

What is also very important for you is that you pay great attention to your workers with disabilities. They mustn’t be discriminated against in any way. The process of selection, testing, and employing them has to be the same as for everyone else. What you also need to pay attention to are the benefits they can get, and the possibility to be promoted to a better job position.

Making sure that everyone has a safe environment to work in

Safety and wellness of your staff are crucial. Everyone that works for you need to be trained in health and safety measures. The best idea is to choose a competent employee to be a Safety Officer for everyone. Furthermore, if any kind of misconduct happens within your company, you must address it directly and root it out. Bullying and any kind of harassment have no place in your workspace.

It is also very important that you educate everyone about the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Let them know how it works, and lead them through the NDIS provider registration if necessary, so that they are certain to get any kind of services that they may require.

Finally, it is important that every employee has a sensible time for taking a break, as well as the right to go to the bathroom whenever they have to.
