There are a host of minerals and vitamins which are an integral part of a woman when it comes to supplements after giving birth. The delivery is an event which takes a huge toll on the mother’s body and therefore the right set of supplements after giving birth is an absolutely essential thing. During the delivery time period, a lot of blood loss occurs as a general phenomenon causing a lot of trauma to the mother’s body. This trauma is generated in terms of loss in minerals and vitamins which need to be replenished in the mother’s body as soon as possible.

The chief ones which are required are as follows:

In addition, calcium also helps lactating mothers to keep up and maintain the lactation process without pressure on the body. Calcium is furthermore important for the mother as the bone density goes down significantly during the pregnancy period due to the interim demands of the growing embryo inside the uterus. Moreover, the blood thickness and the related osmosis levels of the blood is also adversely affected due to this. Vegetables, leafy vegetables, bell peppers and sweet potatoes are the general source of vitamin A.
