Skype to roll out background blur feature to crop out the awkward or unwanted situations going on in background when you're on V-call.
Till now the background blur feature was being enjoyed by the iOS users or the persons on desktop, soon Android users will also cherish the feature with Skype 8.68 update.
The feature to be launched for Android users is an escape from background disturbances. If you're visiting or residing at a place not suitable for interviewing or meeting purpose then, you can activate the blur effect to run away from any embarassing moment.
Microsoft bringing innovative updates for Android users
The update is not limited to the latest innovations. Android users are also eligible to enjoy more customized reaction options on the web application.
Also, Skype for iPhone and iPad users will also go through major improvements including the Share extension with support for dark themes and overall performance enhancements in the latest version 8.68.
To activate the blur effect, you need to follow the steps given below:
- Start a video call with any of your connections.
- Tap on the gear icon present at the top right of the call screen to open the Audio & Video Settings menu.
- Click on the 'Blur my background' toggle present in menu to turn the feature on.
- Now, close the menu and return to your V-call with a blurred background.
