WhatsApp Multiple Account Feature Now Available
Meta-owned WhatsApp now allows the user to access multiple accounts at the same time as it offers on other platforms like Facebook and Instagram
- A single device can have multiple WhatsApp accounts logged simultaneously
- Simplifying the messaging experience for users with multiple accounts
- This facility requires a phone with multi-sim or eSIM configuration
Meta-owned WhatsApp has finally introduced a multiple-account feature, allowing users to have two WhatsApp accounts logged in simultaneously on the same device. This feature is similar to what Meta offers in its other apps, including Instagram and Facebook, where users can log into multiple accounts and seamlessly switch between profiles with one tap.
The multiple account feature is particularly useful for people who switch between work and personal accounts. It can also be beneficial for people who have a separate account for their business or other specific purposes.

To set up a second WhatsApp account, users will require a second phone number and SIM card or a phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM functionality. Users will also need a second phone or its SIM card to receive the one-time passcode that WhatsApp will send via SMS to verify their second account on a different device.
Once the second account is verified, users can switch between accounts by tapping on the arrow icon next to the profile picture in the top-left corner of the app. Users can also customize privacy and notification settings for each of their accounts.
The multiple account feature is a welcome addition to WhatsApp, as it makes it easier for users to manage their different accounts from a single device. It is also likely to be popular with businesses and other organizations that use WhatsApp to communicate with customers and clients.
