Apple improves iCloud.com with browser notifications, a slideshow Photos view, and other features.
Apple has introduced an updated version of iCloud.com, allowing users to receive browser notifications for Mail and Calendar on a PC, and a customizable home page for quick actions. The update also includes Memories for photos and quick-glance widgets for apps like Notes or Pages. Users can now perform tasks directly from the home page, such as downloading a file, deleting an email, marking an email as unread, or checking off a reminder, without having to navigate through separate menus.
Apple has introduced new features for iCloud, including browser notifications for emails and Calendar event invitations, a new list view and file preview option for iCloud Drive, and the ability to create an iCloud email address, undo send operations, and attach files and photos directly from the web interface. The Photos web app now supports Memories and a slideshow view. The update also features a new wallpaper with tiles for Apple ID accounts and apps, allowing users to customize the page and access iCloud+ features like Hide My Email and iCloud Private Relay. Apple has also introduced two new plans for iCloud, offering 6TB and 12TB of storage for personal photos, videos, documents, and data. The 6 TB plan costs Rs 2,999/month in the US, while the 12 TB plan costs Rs 5,900/month. iCloud+ is available in India in three tiers - 50GB, 200GB, and 2TB - priced at Rs 75, Rs 219, and Rs 749, respectively.
