
Inauguration of India's First Portable Solar Rooftop PV System in Gandhinagar
India’s first Portable Solar rooftop PV Port system was unveiled in Gandhinagar. The first portable solar system was installed in the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple complex in Gandhinagar on Monday.

The nation’s first portable solar system was unveiled in Gandhinagar, first installation is done at the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple complex in Gandhinagar. The installation of 10 PV port systems which were installed at the temple complex was supported by a German development agency Deutsche Gesellschaft fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), said in a statement.
The vision of the country is now focused on the renewable and green energy initiations to develop cities that will be renewable cities across India.
The design of the technology made by GIZ and these PV port systems are standard plug-and-play photovoltaic systems of a minimum of 2 kWp with both the availability of a battery or without the battery.
A statement was released related to the technology “India’s first portable rooftop system was inaugurated at the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple complex in Gandhinagar….” Statement says.
The technology manufacturing is done in New Delhi- Based Servotech Power Systems Ltd (SPSL), a giant tech company that also makes LEDs, oxygen concentrators, and EV Charging technical equipment under the make in India project, it also said.
The Managing Director and founder of Servotech Power Systems Ltd said “The unique PV port system is the way ahead for greater adoption of solar power in the country, said in a statement.
