The giant technology company Microsoft has now banned its new products and services in Russia amid Russia- Ukraine Crisis, Company said on Friday. After the latest fallout in Russia, Microsoft has taken a strong decision.
Western government including other private organizations like sports have cut Russia off or dealt it punishing sanctions over the action of Russia in Ukraine.
The US-based company Microsoft has banned its relation with Russia including its new products and services. The company dealt with Microsoft and over 1 billion devices use the Microsoft Software. The company said it would “Suspend all new sales of Microsoft products and services,” in Russia because of its heinous action over Ukraine. The company has not disclosed any information regarding the application of policy.
The company’s President Brad Smith said in a blog post “Like the rest of the world, we are horrified, angered, and saddened by the image and news coming from the war in Ukraine and condemn this unjustified, unprovoked, and illegal invasion by tyrant Russia.”
Apple has already banned its services and products with the deal to Russia and other US-based social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have planned to not socialize the news related to Russian state-linked media in response to the illegal invasion.
Russia included in the street fight also attacked the cyber security of Ukraine and later on took Ukrainian sites out of those attacks Microsoft helped Ukraine against the attacks.
Smit also added in his blog “since the war began, we have acted against Russian positioning, destructive or disruptive measures against more than 20 Ukrainian Government, IT and financial sector organization,” the president of the company said in his blog post.
