The MP of Belgium has taken a step towards the legalization of digital currency and converted his salary into Bitcoin, a digital unauthorized currency.

Christophe De Beukelaer, after converting his salary into Bitcoin, it could be assumed that is the first person who authorized the international digital currency known as Cryptocurrency in Europe.

The trend of cryptocurrency in all parts of the world is continuously increasing and the investment in such currency acquires a high percentage of the top richest persons of the world. Recently, the Belgium MP has converted his monthly salary of EUR 5,500 (INR 4.5 lakh) to Bitcoin which constitutes the amount BTC 0.17. At the time of the conversion, the price of Bitcoin was trading at $36,416 (INR 27 lakh) on the international crypto-exchange CoinMarketCap.

The step which has been taken by Christophe De Beukelaer to convert its salary to Bitcoin is looking as the supporting behavior for the currency and also it has become the first politician in Europe who has accepted Bitcoin.

MP Christophe has also posted a thread on his Twitter handle, explaining that this is his way of showing confidence in cryptocurrency.

The politician of Belgium’s Humanist Democratic Centre chose the crypto trading platform ‘Bit4You’ to exchange its salary for Bitcoins, the information has been revealed in a report which was released by Coin Telegraph.

This time is not the first in itself that he is converting his salary in Bitcoin, previously he also made the Bitcoin through its salary.

The other tweet was posted by Christophe in which he showed his gratitude towards Eric Adams, who is the mayor of New York City for inspiring him to invest in Bitcoin.

The trend of accepting the salary in the form of Bitcoin is also very popular in different parts of the world where many sports star is also expecting to see their salary in the form of cryptocurrency the next time.

NBA player, this month also said in a tweet that they are expecting to see their salary in the form of Cryptocurrency, such names are Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala.
