I sometimes upload documents to ChatGPT for a one-off question, then delete the conversation when I’m done. I’m not sure whether deleting the chat also removes the uploaded file, or whether it can remain available somewhere else in my account.

Is there a separate file library or data setting I should check? I’d like to understand what deletion actually covers before uploading anything more sensitive.
