Perplexity sometimes cites a publication where I can only see the headline and a short preview. The answer may be accurate, but I can’t tell whether the cited page supports the specific claim or whether the useful detail came from another source.
How do you assess paywalled source citations in that situation? Do you treat them as pointers to check elsewhere, look for a public version of the same reporting, or use a different research workflow when the underlying article isn’t accessible?
