I’ve been uploading workbooks to Claude to help review calculations, and I’m not sure what it is actually interpreting. If a cell displays a value produced by a formula, does Claude also understand the underlying formula, or is it mainly working from the visible result?

This matters when I’m checking a workbook where the calculation itself is the point, not just the final number. Has anyone found a reliable way to have Claude inspect both the spreadsheet formulas and the values shown in the sheet?
