I have two reference documents in a Claude project that disagree about a policy: one is newer, but the other is more specific. When I ask a question touching both, I’m not sure what determines which guidance Claude follows.

How do you manage conflicting project documents in practice? Do you add an explicit priority note, revise the source files, or handle the conflict in each prompt?
