I’m considering using Claude Code on a real project, but I’m not sure what a sensible approval routine looks like. Some actions are easy to judge from the prompt; others may touch files or run commands whose effects aren’t obvious at a glance.

How do you handle Claude Code permission prompts without either approving everything automatically or slowing down for every harmless step? I’d be interested in habits that have worked for people using it in existing repositories.
