The latest version of SQL Server is SQL Server 2022. You can install it on Windows or Linux.

To install SQL Server 2022 on Windows, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Microsoft SQL Server download page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sql-server/sql-server-downloads.
  2. Select the Download SQL Server 2022 button.
  3. Accept the license terms and click Download.
  4. The installer will start downloading. Once the download is complete, run the installer.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
