You can install it on Windows or Linux.

To install SQL Server 2022 on Windows, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Microsoft SQL Server download page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sql-server/sql-server-downloads.
2. Select the **Download SQL Server 2022** button.
3. Accept the license terms and click **Download**.
4. The installer will start downloading. Once the download is complete, run the installer.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

To install SQL Server 2022 on Linux, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Microsoft SQL Server download page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sql-server/sql-server-downloads.
2. Select the **Download SQL Server 2022 (Linux)** button.
3. Accept the license terms and click **Download**.
4. The installer will start downloading. Once the download is complete, extract the installer.

Here are some additional requirements for installing SQL Server 2022:
