Future of Robotics with the Eyes of Bill Gates

Technology is transforming the world, and software is one of the main drivers of this transformation. And Bill Gates is the individual who has played a key role—the change agent himself—in bringing about this technical shift. There is no need to introduce Bill Gates. His name, in my opinion, is closely associated with the advancement and transformation of technology as it is understood today. When he co-founded Microsoft in 1975, Bill Gates, one of the wealthiest businessmen, inventors, and world leaders, transformed the technology sector. He is also a massive philanthropist. The remainder is history.

According to Gates, the foundation of technological advancement is its ability to blend in and become an inconspicuous part of daily life. I won't go into detail on the benefits or significance of IT for company or, as Bill Gates points out, for day-to-day living. This article focuses primarily on current events in the field of information technology and how the world is still being disrupted by new, innovative technologies.

Each year, the MIT Technology Review highlights ten innovative technologies. And in the eighteen years that this list has existed, Bill Gates himself selected the 2019 edition.

These technologies represent a trend of technological shift, according to Bill Gates, from those that primarily extended life to those that mostly improved it.

The list is as follows:

Robot revolution: autonomously learning to manipulate foreign items with robotic hands

Modern nuclear power creation of safer and more affordable designs for both fission and fusion reactors

Customized cancer vaccinesBusinesses such as BioNTech are developing a therapy that targets only tumoral cells by harnessing the body's immune system.

Predicting premature babies: a straightforward blood test that could potentially save the lives of many children by predicting the likelihood of preterm birth.

Plant-based burgers: By developing plant-based and lab-grown meat substitutes, the goal is to significantly reduce emissions from the food business.

"Repurposing" and separating Carbon dioxide: Businesses such as the Zurich-based Climeworks are searching for low-cost methods of removing and storing CO2 from the atmosphere. Businesses want to convert carbon emissions into methane and sell carbon dioxide to the soft drink sector.

Electrocardiogram, or ECG, as it is commonly called, will be able to be read by a smartwatch. In addition to continuously monitoring people's heart and health situations, the wearable will be able to identify atrial fibrillation and provide early warnings of potential issues.

Self-contained restrooms: The luxury of a sewer system is unaffordable in low-income nations. According to Gates, "A self-contained toilet accepts both liquid and solid human waste and typically separates it in some way. The solids are practically fireable. The liquids that are filterable

AI aides with unlimited capabilities—With AI assistants, you may expect better conversations as they are capable of far more than simple tasks like taking notes during meetings and doing online shopping.

Not only does Bill Gates support the advancement of these ground-breaking technologies that have the potential to transform the world, but he also actively invests in them.
