Google Docs Enhanced with Gemini AI-Powered 'Help Me Create' Feature for Workspace Users

The Google Workspace user can now use the ‘Help Me Create’ feature, which is augmented by Google’s Gemini AI and is built into Google Docs. This enhancement is in line with the increased developments by Google in artificial intelligence within its productivity applications.

What Is 'Help Me Create'?

The ‘Help me create’ button that such users see activates Gemini AI, the latest in generative AI technology developed by Google. It works as an idea generator, report writer, or text formatting tool that will help resolve time and effort issues.

In natural language understanding, users can type prompts such as ‘Write project proposal,’ ‘Write proposal,’ or ‘Summarise this,’ as the prompts are converted to commands and typed directly into the document.

How It Works

  1. Accessible from the Toolbar

The feature is incorporated into the ribbon under the “Help Me Create” button.

2. Interactive Prompts

Customers can input certain instructions or select basic tasks of writing, such as summarising, rewriting, or expanding a piece of writing.

3. Real-Time Edits

The request is processed by Gemini AI, and the results are included in the document without any interruption.

The workspace users will also have control over modifications, thus making the content suit their tone and purpose.

Why It Matters

As is the case with most updates, this is good news for organisations and groups that heavily use Google Workspace services. In addition to saving time by avoiding the need to perform tedious tasks manually and offering ideas to help people who use their services be more creative, the feature contributes to improving efficiency.

Availability

It is gradually expanding the feature, and it's currently available in some higher Workspace subscriptions. The availability of the service is set to become global from early next year, once beta users are accessed.

As the brain of Google Docs, with Gemini AI integrated into its structure, the application keeps evolving how people treat documents, improving the process and making it smarter and more efficient.
