-Nokia signed a fiber deal with telecom giant AT@T after losing a great network contract to Ericsson.

-Nokia is expecting new growth in fiber. Although, Nokia has not disclosed the financial value of new five year fiber deal but called it a milestone.

-This deal will provide broadband access to millions of users across US.

-No doubt, in July there was a 32% decline in the profit of Nokia but CEO Pekka Lundmark said that sales would increase significantly in the second half of the year.

-Nokia also, announced in June about the acquisition of US optical networking firm ‘Infinera’ in order to cope with the increasing investments in data centers driven by the artificial intelligence.
