Apple Support on X, what the company allows users to do and does not presently
Apple has stopped providing human technical assistance via direct messages on X, formerly Twitter. Customers who send a direct message to the @AppleSupport account on X receive an automated reply with links to Apple's website and the Apple Support app for iPhone and iPad. The account also appears to have stopped offering human replies to posts tagging the @AppleSupport account. Apple has also changed the description of Apple Support on X, removing the previous statement that it was "available every day to answer your questions."
Apple has transitioned from human support on Twitter since 2016, following the controversial acquisition of the platform by Elon Musk, but it remains unclear if this change was influenced by the acquisition.
