Wipro has announced that its CEO, Jatin Dalal, has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Dalal, who has been with the IT services provider for over two decades, will be replaced by Aparna Iyer, a 20-year veteran who most recently held the position of senior vice president and CFO of Wipro's cloud services unit. Dalal will remain until November 30.

Dalal, as CFO in 2015, collaborated with CEO Thierry Delaporte to manage the company's surge in demand for digital services during the pandemic.

Iyer has played a crucial role in Wipro's recent overhaul of its financial operations, according to Delaporte. According to Delaporte, she has “played an important part in our financial strategy and planning, investment programs, and transformation initiatives.”

Investment on AI

Wipro has launched 'Wipro ai360', an AI-first innovation ecosystem, aiming to integrate AI into all internal and client-provided platforms and tools. The company has announced a $1 billion investment to develop AI solutions over the next three years. The AI360 ecosystem places responsible AI operations at the heart of all AI work, with the goal of bringing 30,000 experts in data analytics and AI to Wipro's technology ecosystem. The investment will focus on expanding AI, big data, and analytics solutions.
