Broadcom is About to Get EU Antitrust Approval for VMware Deal

The United States-based Chipmaker is all ready to gain EU antitrust approval based on some conditions for its $61 billion (approx. 5,03,000 crore) acquisition proposed of cloud computing firm VMware. The people who are familiar with the matter revealed that the shares of the company have directly rose up by almost 5 percent.
The clearance of the European Commission is directly tied to remedies relating to Broadcom’s interoperability with rivals that would address the competition concerns, as per the news said by people.
Both, the Broadcom Company and the EU antitrust watchdog authority have denied making any comment which was decided on the deal by July 17.
Among many remedies available, one such remedy focuses on Fibre Channel Host-Bus Adapters (FC HABS) and has the aim at its rival Marvel Technology, said one of the people. Marvel tech didn’t respond to the request for making any comment.
Broadcom’s biggest key hurdler is in Britain where the British competition authority will likely introduce its provisional research about the deal and the available possible remedies required.
The agencies based in the US are also about to make an investigation on Broadcom’s VMware acquisition.
Other companies including great businessmen are in tension after the Competition and Market Authority (CMA) blocked the deal of Microsoft with Activision while the other authority EU cleared it.
