Both companies have submitted a draft with specifications telling the requirement of location tracking devices based on Bluetooth to alert users of any unauthorized tracking on both iOS and Android devices.

Specifications mentioned in the draft include feedback from the manufacturers of the device and some advocacy groups. They have support from the companies such as Samsung Electronics and consumer electronics companies Tile.

Seeing the use of AirTags, Privacy experts and law enforcement have stated about the misuse of such technology in terms of criminal or malicious purposes.

In order to protect the user’s privacy and provide safety, Apple 2021 launched an Android detector app to help users scan nearby AirTags or other similar item trackers which possibly be traveling with them without their knowledge.

It is mandatory for tech companies to give priority to the safety of users’ privacy and also secure the integrity of the users. Recently the development of Artificial Intelligence had developed a fear of privacy and misuse.
