Finland will Donate its Seized Bitcoin to Ukraine

Finland is trying to help fearless Ukraine in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the country is planning to donate its seized Bitcoin, cryptocurrency to Ukraine to help Ukraine in March. It is expected that Finland will donate 1,981 seized Bitcoins by its customs department directly to Ukraine.

Finland’s Government has said reportedly donated the seized cryptocurrency to Ukraine. These cryptocurrencies are based on criminal operations and the county is planning to help Ukraine to support the latter’s war efforts against the Russian invasion.

According to a local news report, the Finnish government has amassed BTC 1,981 (roughly Rs. 600 crores). These coins were seized by the custom authority of the Finnish Government Officials in “investigations related to” crimes such as “drugs and drug trafficking.”

According to the Finnish Media Outlet, Helsingin Sanomat says the sources did not rule out handling its stash of Bitcoin “Directly to Ukraine” one of the biggest newspapers of Finland said about the news ‘as per the sources that a decision on how much of the sale would be donated to Ukraine is still in vague and waiting to be revealed.
