Suppose I start a Perplexity thread with one Focus setting, then switch to another before asking a follow-up. Does the new setting apply just to that next search, or does it change how Perplexity treats the whole thread?

I’m asking because follow-up questions often rely on what came before, and I’m not sure whether changing the Focus setting keeps that context intact while narrowing the sources. Has anyone tested this with the same question across different Focus options?
