I’m trying Claude Code on a repository where I want to review changes before they land. Is there a setting or workflow that makes it present a proposed diff and pause for approval before applying each file edit?

I know approval prompts can depend on the action being taken, so I’m curious whether this can be made consistent for edits without blocking harmless read-only work.
