When I ask Perplexity for nearby services or local recommendations, I’m not always sure whether it’s using an approximate location, a setting on my device, or details from my query. I’d also like to know what happens when I’m researching a place I don’t live in.

Is there a way to control or disable location-based results without losing the ability to search for a specific city I type in? I’d appreciate hearing what settings or prompts have worked for others.
