I use voice chat while walking, and I’d like to check a map or change a podcast without having to restart the conversation. Does Grok keep the voice session active when its app is in the background, or does switching apps pause or end the listening session?

I’m especially interested in how this behaves on iPhone versus Android, and whether it depends on battery or microphone permissions. What has your experience been?
