When I ask a follow-up in Perplexity, I sometimes wonder whether it searches the web again using my new question, expands the original query, or mostly relies on the sources it already found. Is there a way to inspect the exact follow-up search queries Perplexity runs?

Seeing that step would make it easier to understand why a follow-up brought in new sources—or missed something I expected it to find. If there’s no query history to view, how do you tell what the search actually covered?
