I’m trying to make an OpenAI API integration predictable over time. If I specify a dated model snapshot instead of a moving model name, should I expect the same outputs and behavior months later, or can other changes still affect a request?

I’m especially curious about deployments where small wording changes matter, such as extraction or classification. How do you test for regressions when moving to a newer snapshot, and do you keep a fallback version available?
