I’m considering Grok’s image editing for some product photos. The intended change is small: replace a cluttered background with a plain studio-style one while keeping the packaging untouched.
My concern is that “looks like the same product” is not enough. The logo, ingredient text, barcode, and package proportions need to remain accurate. A plausible replacement label would make the image unusable.
Has anyone tested product label preservation with this kind of edit? Does asking Grok to leave the product unchanged actually preserve the original pixels, or should I treat the result as a regenerated image that needs close inspection?
I’d appreciate a practical way to compare the original and edited product regions, especially when the output has also been resized. I’m trying to decide whether this is suitable for final catalog images or just background concepts.
