I have some important Google Chat conversations that I need to move into Microsoft Outlook for easier access and long-term reference. I exported my Google Chat data through Google Takeout, but the conversations came in JSON files, and I couldn't find any straightforward option to convert them into PST format. There are quite a lot of messages, so manually copying everything into Outlook isn't really practical for me.
While searching for a solution, I came across the BitRecover blog about converting Google Chat to PST files using their Chat Converter that supports JSON chat files. It explains how Google Chat data can be exported using Google Takeout and then converted into an Outlook-compatible PST file. I found the approach useful because it covers the complete process instead of simply suggesting manual copy-paste methods.
My main concern is preserving the chat data properly while converting multiple conversations. I also want the resulting PST file to be accessible through Outlook without having to reorganize every conversation manually.
Has anyone here tried the method explained by BitRecover for converting Google Chat data to PST? If so, did it work properly for a large number of conversations, and were you able to open the resulting PST file in Outlook without any issues?
