Gemini used to show up as a button in my Gmail and Docs. Now it's gone. Didn't change anything.

Two usual suspects. One, you're signed into more than one Google account in the same browser. Gemini shows for one and not the other, and which tab picks which account is basically random. Sign out of everything, sign into just the one, and check.
Two, if it's a work or school account, your admin changed something or the licence ran out. Nothing you can do except ask IT.
If neither of those, standard stuff: update Chrome, turn extensions off for a minute, clear cache for Google sites. And check the Workspace status page, the Gmail and Docs side panel goes down on its own sometimes even when the main Gemini app is fine.
