What’s one concept in data science that completely changed the way you think about data?

Data Science in 2025 feels less about tools and more about perspective.
One concept that really changed how I think about data is feature engineering. It made me realize data isn’t just something you clean and feed to a model — it’s something you understand, shape, and tell stories through. Once that clicked, everything else in data science started making sense.
