Let starts with Authority, what does it means in SEO?


It refers to strength or score of a given website. 


Now what is Domain Authority: it is a metric system which give scores that define how likely a website will rank in a search engine result page (SERP). The scores vary from 1to 100. It shows how much chance a website has when showing up at the SERP.

NOTE: A solid score might not guarantee that you will appear on 1st rank on SERP. But it doesn’t mean you should not work hard to get above a score of 90. 

Did you know that websites like Facebook or Microsoft have score of 99/100, it shows the site strength, and how well they make improvements on the daily basis to maintain that score.

According to the leading & trusted websites the average score should be 60 to rank in top 10 in SERP. 

Now what are the impact does Domain Authority have on websites?


In the area of SEO and online marketing, domain authority is regarded as one of the most crucial instruments. The following points shows the impact it does on websites: 

  • It allows for comparative analysis since it is an analytics tool it is able to track how we are doing vs our competitors. 
  • It also helps us improve content, if your site score is lower than then you will need to focus on improving it whether that be on the site or off site.
  • High DA also assists with ranking, if DA is higher than your website rank will be higher than others maybe within the top 5 ranking. This will eventually give your website more organic traffic. 
  • Attract backlinks, high DA website get links from other websites/profiles which can only build authority and traffic because now users and search engines trust your website because of the higher domain authority. It also increases trustworthy.
